Kilimanjaro Cafe & Restaurant in Taufkirchen

We drove an extra 70km to eat at this restaurant. We weren't disappointed! The food was freshly prepared and extremely tasty. As starters we had the peanut and sweet potato cream soup, the best soups we have ever tried. They have a thicker consistency and are therefore very filling compared to other soups. For the main course we had goulash with plantains, also very tasty. Would give the entire meal a 10 out of 10. The owners were both very friendly. The man was a waiter and was very nice, his wife is the cook and she even came out of the kitchen to ask if we liked it. It doesn't happen that often either. There are also many dishes without milk or with coconut milk instead, which is of course great for lactose intolerance. Can only recommend this restaurant.

Were there for a cafe and cake and can only say again with pleasure. Very nice, courteous and funny waiter and the cakes / pies a dream 😍

I really recommend it. The African dishes are absolutely delicious and are cooked by the owner who is African. She also bakes the German cakes. Her husband, a Bavarian, serves the guests. He is always friendly and you can have fun with him. The restaurant has a snack-like character, but at the same time is furnished with comfortable benches, chairs and tables and is not decorated in a kitschy African style. A place to feel good, where you can just have a drink. We will be back.

Very very delicious food and super friendly hosts. Here you immediately feel welcome and comfortable :) I tried Tanzanian food for the first time, the plantains are awesome😍 highly recommended 😊

The cafe is not really inviting but the waiter is very friendly but sometimes friendliness is not everything we asked for the card but unfortunately we had to ask again because either this was not true or was forgotten and the knife for our pancake was not from the beginning but only after asking ... so waiters 7/10 ...... the value for money is unfortunately a bit overpriced for a piece of small marble cake 2.60? That is for the portion really too much and the taste was not convincing, the pancake was very hard and dry and inedible .. but the hot chocolates was fine it is okey but not more 6/10

A very nice, neat, small cafe with Southeastern African cuisine. The food was delicious and the hosts are very welcoming and friendly. I had beef goulash with ugali (corn dumpling) and my husband tilapia with coconut sauce and fresh vegetables with ugali. In addition to the hot dishes, delicious cakes are offered to round off the offer. We like to come back and highly recommend it. For anyone who wants to try the typical Southeast African cuisine, this cafe is a must.

For a cafe unfortunately not very inviting atmosphere. We thought it was an ordinary cafe. The biting smell of Indian food bothered our Café Kränzchen.

Pro: - very good food - very nice service - food came fast - fair prices Minus: - medium size portions but ok for the price paid - location small, not good for big groups( 10+ people)

The food was just like eating at home, made with so much care and it was delicious. The chicken biryani was tastier than most Indian restaurants. The staff was also very sweet and cordial. Will be a return customer for sure.

Eaten and drunk very well here several times. Pleasant African-inspired atmosphere and a friendly climate. Even with small extra requests due to allergies etc., I have only had positive experiences. There is also a delicious and well-stocked cake buffet, which can also be seen and tasted.
